Loch Ness
When thinking about your next holiday, why not go all traditional and head up to the very north of the UK, to Scotland, and in particular to an area near Loch Ness! Less than half an hour from Inverness, in the beautiful countryside, you’ll feel like you’re in a novel. The areas surrounding Loch Ness are simply beautiful and there is no end of places to stay, from hotels, bed and breakfasts, chalets, guest houses and timeshare options. The locals are extremely helpful and friendly, the scenery is quite and tranquil and the wildlife is in abundance. This is probably not the best holiday destination for those that want to lie back and be pampered, but for the outdoorsy types it will be heaven and is highly recommended. Go hiking, climbing, fishing, wildlife spotting, and try some outdoor water activities on the loch. As with most tourist spots, there are hundreds of activities that you can get involved in, from painting, golf and horse riding to visiting the Tomatin distillery and sampling the local cuisine at one of the various bars and restaurants . For local arts and crafts there are various shops selling traditionally wood turned products and paper crafts. And I know what you’re thinking, people only go up to see Nessie, so take some binoculars!
